Darien residents Charlotte and John Suhler hosted a May 18 event at their Long Neck Point home to welcome the new Chairman of Surgery at Stamford Hospital, Dr. Michael Stone.

Dr. Stone joined the Hospital from Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM), where he served as Chief of Surgical Oncology at Boston Medical Center and Vice Chairman of Surgery and Professor of Surgery at BUSM since 2001.

About 80 Darien residents attended and enjoyed “Lobstah and Chowdah,” as well as the opportunity to meet Dr. Stone and his wife, Dr. Dorothy Freeman. Mrs. Suhler presented Dr. Stone with a Yankees baseball cap, and welcomed him to his new community.
