Over 200 foodies attended the inaugural Meatball Challenge of Fairfield County and sampled each restaurant challengers' signature meatball to vote for the "Best Meatballs" in town. Held at the Factory Underground in Norwalk, the 11 challengers included: Barcelona, Bar Sugo, Bobby Q's, David's Soundview Catering, Have a Ball, Match, Meatball & Co., Strada18, The Local Meatball, Saugatuck Craft Butchery, and The Spread. The event raised funds to support the Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of CT. The winning restaurant was Bar Sugo with The Spread as first runner-up and a tie for second runner-up awarded to David's Soundview Catering and Saugatuck Craft Butchery.
