Family Bonding
Tiny Miracles
The Tiny Miracles Foundation hosted a very special celebration and reunion of families and friends of premature babies in Fairfield County at a pre-Halloween party in Stepping Stones Museum. In addition to music by Dre Towey, the seventy families in attendance enjoyed costume contests, crafts, face painting, and food from local shops. The goal of the event was to encourage families of premature babies to connect with each other, as research proves that the experience of a premature birth takes an enormous and potentially long-term emotional toll on parents and families. Sharing stories, says the nonprofit, can be therapeutic for parents who are struggling with difficult emotions. TTMF’s programs and services are designed to support, assist, educate and empower families of premature children. The organization also promotes improved care for children.
