RE Children's Project

A Valentine-themed fundraiser was lovingly organized at Woodway Country Club in Darien for supporters of the RE Children’s Project, which was founded by the Wohlberg family of Darien. The organization is dedicated to increasing awareness of Rasmussen’s Encephalitis (RE) in order to help find a cure. This rare neurological disease strikes previously normal children. The Wohlbergs’ daughter Grace was diagnosed with RE in 2008. This second annual benefit featured a silent auction and keynote address by Frances Jensen, M.D., senior associate of medicine and director of epilepsy research at Children’s Hospital Boston.
