Maritime Aquarium

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk celebrated its $4-million refurbishment with 200 supporters at a donors’ reception featuring performances by two-time Tony-award winner James Naughton and his daughter-in-law, Kelli O’Hara, who has been nominated for three Tonys and will soon star with Matthew Broderick on Broadway. Guests were also given a first look at the recently transformed Hokin Sound Voyage Galleries and Newman’s Own Hall, spaces featuring new exhibits and species. Fred Lione of Rowayton chairs the Aquarium’s Building Committee, which selected Caldwell and Walsh Building Construction to manage the transformation. Among the major contributors to the renovation are Newman’s Own Foundation, Richard and Wendy Hokin of Darien, and Robert and Kit Rohn of Darien. The Hokins and the Rohns hosted what’s been called a fin-tastic event.
